Joseph E. Troiani, Ph.D. 

Commander, U.S. Navy (retired) 


Dr. Troiani is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Adler School of Professional Psychology.  He is the founder of Military Psychology at Adler and is the Director of the Master of Arts in Military Psychology online degree.  He has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a MSSI in Strategic Intelligence from The National Defense Intelligence College.  He is also a graduate of the Naval War College. 


Commander Troiani retired in 2010 from the United States Navy - Reserve Component after serving 32 ˝ years.  He served with Patrol Squadron 90, Naval Investigative Service (renamed NCIS), and with various intelligence organization involved in terrorism analysis.  From 2000 until his retirement he was assigned to the Defense Intelligence Agency's National Defense Intelligence College (now National Intelligence University) in Washington D.C. as faculty with the M.S.S.I. graduate program.  There he instructed courses on terrorism intelligence and on Middle East conflicts.
